Do I need insurance to rent a car?

Yes. You can provide information validating that your personal insurance covers rentals at no charge or you have the option to purchase insurance through our partners to cover the rental period.

What kinds of payment does NexRide Car Rentals accept?

We accept the following payment methods issued in the primary guest's name: Most credit cards issued by major financial institutions, including American Express and Discover. Non-temporary debit cards with a Visa or Mastercard logo that are linked to a checking account. (Includes debit cards from online banks, such as Chime, Ally, and others. This does not include reloadable debit cards such as Simple, Chase Liquid, or EDD.) Revolut card (No other prepaid cards). Apple Pay on mobile devices in all locations. Google Pay on mobile devices in Canada and the US.

How old do I have to be to rent a car from NexRide Car Rentals?

You must be at least 21 years of age to rent from us. You must not have any severe moving violations and/or DUI cases on your record. If so, there is a possibility your rental agreement and/or reservation will be denied. If you are under the age of 25 you may inquire with us for more information.

Can I add another driver?

Guests can add up to eight additional drivers. Additional drivers must pass our verification process to be added to a trip. Additional drivers add $15 per day to the rental.

Can I cancel my reservation?

Yes. You can cancel your reservation. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time will incur a $50 late cancellation fee. All cancellations are effective immediately. Once you cancel, you're no longer authorized to receive or drive the car.

Fuel, Tolls, Driving Tickets, Towed Vehicles, Parking Tickets and Red Light Camera Tickets:

Refueling: Renters will be charged the actual cost of fuel plus a $15 inconvenience fee if the vehicle is returned without a full tank.

Tolls: Toll charges will be provided on a separate invoice to be paid upon receipt.

Driving Tickets: Each driver is responsible for their own driving citations and tickets.

Parking Tickets and Red Light Cameras: The renter is fully responsible for any parking citations and red light camera tickets during the rental period.

Towed Vehicles: Any towing charges or damages incurred during the rental cycle will be deducted from the deposit and/or billed to the client. The client can continue the rental after the charges are paid and the vehicle is released.

Can I return my car a day or more early?

We charge the full amount of the rental in advance or on the day of the rental. Once a vehicle is reserved, we are not allowed to rent the vehicle during the days of your rental period. If you cancel early, you will be given a credit for future rentals in the amount of days left during your rental period.

How many miles do I get?

All rentals come with 200 miles per day included. If you exceed the mileage limit, a small overage fee will apply. For most vehicles, the charge is $0.26 per additional mile.

At what times can I pick up my rental?

We are open every day from 7 a.m. EST to 7 p.m. EST. If you need to pick up or return a rental outside those hours, please call us, and we'll do our best to accommodate if possible.
